- Pods and VM’s use same Native Network & VPC features
- Containers as first-class load balancer endpoints
- Pods/Containers are endpoints, same as VM endpoints
- in GKE cluster: by default all Nodes and Pods can talk to each other
- GKE natively supports L7 authorization, security & modern protocols
- In new GLB and GKE integration = (GLB -> Network Endpoint Group) will replace (GLB -> Instance Group)
- Direct connection from GLB to Pods (GKE) using “NEG”
